Kiosk Kouter in Ghent

The Kouter is a square in the center of the Flemish city of Ghent. Older names for this square are «Paardenmarkt», and «Place d’Armes». The square was traditionally used not only for all kinds of celebrations, but also for people’s congresses in the city. Since 1772, a flower market is held on Sundays. During the Ghent Festival is the location of the «Ball 1900».

The Kouter is surrounded by stately, mostly nineteenth-century buildings, including the Trade Stock Exchange.

In the square there is a late 19th-century cast-iron kiosk, built to a design by the Ghent architect Adolphe Pauli in 1878. On Sunday, the kiosk served as a stage for concerts for the middle class and on Wednesday common people could also attend. In the 19th century there were six music kiosks in the center of Ghent, now there’s only two left.

In 1998 the kiosk was refurbished by the company IBT from Oosterzele. The entire structure was coated with a primer coat of ZINGA followed by a topcoat.

Beijing Water Park

The Beijing National Aquatics Center, also officially known as the National Aquatics Center,and colloquially known as the Water Cube, is an aquatics center that was built alongside Beijing National Stadium in the Olympic Green for the swimming competitions of the 2008 Summer Olympics. Despite its nickname, the building is not an actual cube, but a cuboid (a rectangular box).

Swimmers at the Water Cube broke 25 world recordsduring the 2008 Olympics.
After the Olympics, the building underwent a 200million Yuan revamp to turn half of its interior into
a water park. The building officially reopened on August 8, 2010.

In April 2010, ZINGA was used to protect several steel frameworks from the renovated structures.

Bird’s Nest

The stadium was designed for use throughout the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. Located in the Olympic Green, the $ 423 million stadium is the world´s largest steel structure.

The client (project owner) was the National Stadium Steel Structure Office of CITIC International Contracting Inc., a joint ventureofCITIC (China International Trust & Investment Corporation) and BUCG (Beijing Urban Construction Group), two of China’s largest state owned enterprises.

The main contractor wasBUCG Jinggong Steel Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.

ZINGA was used on specialcritical areas (such as complex joints, gutters, and ETFE membrane mounted sections) of the Bird’s Nest steel structure which could not be metallised (spray zinc) after welding.
